About the Artist

Jared Pierce is an abstract expressionist painter whose work is deeply rooted in personal history and a belief that art belongs in everyday life. Raised in a small town in New York, Jared was profoundly influenced by his grandfather, Hugh Mesibov—a pioneering abstract expressionist. Mesibov’s legacy, marked by innovation and a commitment to making art accessible, left an indelible mark on Jared’s creative path.

Inspired by his grandfather’s ethos, Jared pursued formal training at SUNY New Paltz, where he earned his Bachelor's degree. He furthered his studies with a Master’s in Art Education, equipping himself to not only create but also teach and inspire.

Jared’s art is characterized by bold colors, dynamic forms, and emotive textures, reflecting his belief that art should be lived with, not just looked at. He creates pieces intended to resonate within the intimate spaces of homes, sparking reflection and connection. For Jared, art is not a distant spectacle but a daily companion—a means to bring beauty, thought, and emotion into the rhythms of everyday life.
